No ovulation pain

Is it normal to not have ovulation pain.. i normaly do and my period is due in 3 days. Every month i feel the pain and last month something weird happened my period arrived 4 days early and i did not feel ovulation pain.. but ive been having back pain on the left side that starts for few second and goes away... i used to stress out a lot becauee im trying to get pregnant and been trying ttc for 8 months now... but i tried not to think about it this month ... any ideas
