He needs a break?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for almost 3 years. We moved in together and I found out I was pregnant maybe a month- a month and a half after moving, I am 10 weeks pregnant and now he's saying he needs a break... I'm staying at my parents house for a week to give him space, but I'm an emotional wreck any advise?

To me that's very selfish. If he needs to work on himself, is he consulting a therapist? It's very hard to work on yourself when you don't have the proper help to do so.

And taking time apart is a huge red flag to me. Especially when you're expecting a child with someone. How can you be a part from that?.

After your week apart, id ask him If he really wants to be a part of this with you, and if he does, I recommend couples counciling.

Omg I'm sorry! Maybe he is scared or nervous about becoming a dad? Don't stress to much ( easier said then done) hopefully it all works out. Try and get him to open up & talk about what's bothering him

A break usually means like there is something else going on. Or in sorry to say it someone else.

Try talking it out, but I've never known there to be a time when saying "I need a break" or "we need to take a break" didn't just mean "we're breaking up."
I'm sorry he's putting you through that.
