Bad idea?

At what age is it okay to start feeding baby food? 
My son stays constipated and a couple days ago we gave him a couple bites of baby food and he started pooping and acting like he felt a lot better! 
Just wondering if it was a bad idea??

We started solids with pediatrician approval at 4 months. Every baby is different but will display signs of readiness.

6 months is best. I gave my girl her first taste at 5 and a half months.  Some doctors will say 4-6 months but i think closer to 6, the better.

That's cool that your boy poops more. Since starting baby food my girl is constipated. Doesnt seem bothered though. Just doesn't poop every day

6 months. Anything under that can cause open gut. (Not good at all, look it up) .
