Membrane stripping?

Question

So next week my doctor will start stripping my membrane she said it doesn't always work, so just wondering how it went for anyone else? If it worked how fast etc. I will be 37 and half weeks at the time she's opting to do it early-ish for baby size and other medical reasons.

I could not remember from my other pregnancies how long it took. I had my cervix stretched today at 38 weeks. From what I could find online tonight I saw normally if it does not cause labor in 36 hours then you may have to have it done a second time

I had mine done at 39+2. She was born exactly 24 hour later. I was cramping the next morning. My water broke at noon, and she was born 3.5 hits later! I hope it works for you!

I had it done at 39 weeks and my son came at 40 wks + 2 days, so it didn't seem to work for me. It did cause some uncomfortable cramping though. I don't know if I'd do it again, but when you near the end you get desperate!  Good luck!!

I had it done twice with two of my pregnancy first time it didn't work right away maybe a day later my water broke but no contractions with my second I went it labor the same day I had it done it usually doesn't seem to work if your body isn't ready but you know good luck

Didn't work for me.  It was very uncomfortable too but it does work for some
