Ready to conceive but SO isn't

So I've been with my boyfriend for almost three years and we have both talked about having kids. He had said he's wanted them but lately this baby fever hasn't left and all I can think about is trying to get pregnant. When I brought it up to him recently he said now he isn't sure... I'm kind of lost on what to do.
