Photographer in the delivery room?

Okay guys - I'm needing some advice. I want pictures taken during my delivery. Raw, but classy. No vagina shots, but me pushing, my husband supporting, and the little one arriving, etc. 
What are your experiences with having pictures taken during this intense time?
Did you have a professional or just a friend or family member?
My husband is going to be too preoccupied and honestly I want him focused on what's happening and not taking pics. I thought about maybe my mom - but I'm still iffy if I want her in the delivery room in general. 
HELP PLEASE.

I didn't have one but I think it would be good to go with a professional as opposed to family because 1) they do it all the time and know how to get good pictures 2) they should know how to make themselves inconspicuous 3) they aren't family so they won't feel the need to be super involved.

Haven't had my baby yet but the photographer I plan on using is very skilled and adamant about making sure you get exactly what you want out of the photos. I'm the same, don't want anything too close for comfort but really want to capture all the emotion in the room. I definitely reccomend getting a professional and just have a lunch with them to discuss exactly what you do & don't want. Make sure you can see them a few times before the big day just so you're more comfortable
