Looking to hear other women's experiences using Lexapro while pregnant. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and OB just prescribed me Lexapro after I confided that I have been struggling with my anxiety more so than I normally do and that I was afraid how my anxiety would affect me when the baby is born. She assured me it is safe but of course there are side effects like there is for any medication. I have been doing some online research and I have read some horror stories including the baby having some health issues when born. I guess you could say I'm having some major anxiety about starting a anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med! I have always struggled with anxiety and I have always worked through it without medication but now I fear of how I will be when the baby comes. I have always wondered if medication could ever help me feel more "normal" and if it would help me not suffer through anxiety attacks anymore. I'm just not so sure it's worth the risk of my son's health. I would appreciate anyone who is willing to share their experiences with this medication and their pregnancies and if it had any affect on their babies.
