Unmedicated birth stories!?

Question

Im currently pregnant with my 1st baby. I want to go natural and have an unmedicated birth, I spend my mornings watching unmedicated birth videos because It gives me some sort of courage. Sort of like "If she can do it, so can I" 
So I love to hear about women who have gave natural unmedicated birth. Tell me your story ☺️👇🏻❤️

I was exactly 38 weeks that day I went to acupuncture (car accident at 29 weeks). She guessed the gender as a girl, I told her I'd like her know if she was right. Went to the chiropractor in the afternoon then out for Chinese food with my partner. I had been having practice labour on and off all day... at the restaurant I noticed it was every 15 mins then 10. I texted my doula and she wanted me to be active and then rest to see if it was real labour. I tried to walk the dog but couldn't get very far so I laid down and the tightening went away so I went to bed. At about midnight I woke up with more contractions but tried to stay in bed to rest. At 2 am I went to the bathroom and my partner woke up to me moaning through contractions on the toilet. He had no idea about any of the contractions all night even at dinner (I did hypnobirthing so I was very calm). He called the midwife, I tried talking to her but couldn't through contractions, then my water broke so we headed to the birth centre (I was gbs +). At the birth centre she had to start an iv, took forever but finally got it. I was 4 cm. I went in the tub and did low tones of moaning. Asked for arnica water and homeopathic remedy for back labour, my partner had to press on my back. Tub got cold, climbed out, vomited then they had me doing different positions to get baby in a better position. Went on the toilet, bad mistake as I felt like I wanted to push, got up and there was blood everywhere. Midwife checked I was 6, we transferred to hospital... had to "blow a feather" to prevent myself from pushing. Arrived at hospital, was 9 with a lip, put a heart monitor on baby's head. I stood up, went on all fours, supported squat, etc. Let my body guide my pushing, no purple pushing, no counting no pressure, mostly pushed in supported squat. Baby girl was born at 10:13am. Absolutely amazing!!! Birthed the placenta, did skin to skin, breast crawl. Handed baby to partner for skin to skin, passed the pee test (have to pee before you can leave) and was home by 3pm.

My sister was 15 when she had her first baby, her labor was only 3 hours so she had zero pain meds, she wouldn't even use the gas they give you, she gave birth over the bed, squatting to give birth which is the easiest way without meds, it was incredible but looked so painful she threw up constantly from the pain but she did it. I wanna go pain free and I'm praying my labour is as short as hers was. She was only 15 years old and she did it :)

I had a 48hr labor with no pain medication. Let me tell you the contractions in the beginning aren't as bad but once your water breaks that's when the pain comes. Labor is mind over matter. Make sure to breath constantly and focus more on that than the pain.

My experience is different then hopefully yours. I've delivered 2 babies both at 20 weeks 2 separate times. My first my water had broke I went to the hospital immediately and was induced by 4pm that day. What they told was contractions are contractions whether your 40 weeks or 20 weeks. I went without any meds And was in labor for 12 hours however When I felt it was time to push he came out with one push.

With my second I was 20 weeks and went to the er due to bleeding. I was hour glassing. We tried reversing it for the first 35 hours which didn't work. I was having mild contractions since I arrived that they were trying to stop. We decided because how I was progressing to be induced (water was still intact at this point) we spent a second night in the hospital and started the induction at around 3pm I was having harsher contractions before they gave me the medicine to induce. It came on so quickly have they have me the medication within an hour and a half I was in so much pain because I was literally pushing the water bag out! Thinking back I have no idea why they didn't break it for me. He then had to with his hands turn the baby cause he was breached. And that. Oh my god. Was the worst pain of my life. I know it sounds horrific sometimes but it's worth it. To feel every inch of the pain that brings your baby into the world.

You can do it!!! I just had my 8lb baby boy on 7/7/17 at 8:18am weighing 8lbs 7oz and 22 inches. I had him vaginally and no epidural. I wanted to be able to push naturally and get the full experience of birth. I had a birth plan but I knew that was going to be thrown out the window lol 
 
I was in labor for three days and I finally got 5-1-1 and decided to go to my widwives. I was 3cm and 100% effaced . She stripped my membranes (since I hadn't slept in two days already)  and off tonlanor and delivery I went. Contractions had been crazy and all over the place so they had me under observation and took me to get a sonogram . Turned out my fluid was at 2.5 when not even 24hrs before that it was 10. So they recommends I get pitocin and some nubane since I hadn't slept and I needed energy to push when the time came. I was soooooo pissed because I wanted unmedicated!!! So it turned out if I took the nubane it would only last 2hrs and would be out of my system by the time I had to push . It wouldn't affect the baby because I was still in the early stage of labor. So I talked to my husband and we decide to go ahead with pitocin and nubane. Nubane definitely wore off and I was well rested and ready for the real pain. Contractions were 4min apart and I was 5cm. Pain was intense espically since pitocin makes them a little stronger but I pulled through and beleive me you WILL know when transition is  around the corner. I was so calm from 3cm-7cm. I ad gone to birthing classes with my husband and learned breathing techniques. That wen tout the window. My way of coping with the pain was to air butterfly position on my bed and sit still and quiet. I concentrated on whatever was in front of me and breathed through my nose and out my mouth and I kept telling of my meyeelf it's "temporary and I hit my peak of the contraction that means pain is going away. I won't lie once I hit 7cm I lost control of my thoughts and went crazy. I was ready to have this baby. Luckily the nurse and my husband were able to get my focus back in place and I tried my best to cope and stay calm. Eventually I was ready to push and it was the most amazing  thing ever. Our bodies are amazing . I pushed while squatting, I got on my knees, I laid on my side and contracted with a peanut ball and pushed. Finally I ended up on my back and I pushed while holding my legs apartment I pushed for 3 hours straight and finally got my baby boy!!! I didn't get the epidural and ended up pushing u unmedicated and pushed when I wanted to not when the nurses said so. YOU CANNN DO IT!!!

I was induced at 39 weeks secondary to gestational hypertension. I delivered without pain medication. The whole process took 13 hours and I used the Bradley method to help me during labor and pushing and had my husband and my doula with me. I used a lot of deep relaxation breathing and frequent position changes and a TENS unit on my low back when pushing. The biggest thing is to listen to your body and be in control of your breathing.  For the month before delivery I did perineal massage too which I think helped prepare myself for pain. I also made sure that my medical team was very supportive of an unmedicated delivery with as few medical interventions as possible. I was in active labor for four hours transition from 6 cm to 10 cm in a matter of 20 minutes and only pushed for 10 minutes. Recovery was really fairly easy. I only had two microfractures which healed on their own without stitching. Did not need pain medication after delivery either.  I highly recommend the Bradley method classes and a doula! I was so happy I delivered without meds. 😊

With my first son, I was 16yrs old. They checked me at exactly 40wks date: 11/17 and cervix was so thick and closed, midwife couldn't even put a finger tip. She didn't think I was going to give birth anytime soon, so was scheduled for an induction the following Tuesday. (A week from that day (my due date)). Went home, and was so upset. 11/18 at 3am went for my morning pee lol and wiped bright blood. Called my midwife and stated to not come in unless I had contractions. Well sum up the story, got to the hospital around 6:30 I was 8cm and an hour later he was here! Natural birth, no meds. But let me tell you the pain felt like something was going up my bottom. 😭 it was so bad. 
Second child, I was 39wks and they had stripped my membranes Friday afternoon, Monday morning 7am I woke up and knew right away I'm in labor. I didn't call the midwives until they got close together. At 9am they were 3-5m apart and was to the point where I would stay very still and quiet. I knew we just had to go! Called my midwife and let her know we are definitely on the way. They took forever to check me, and thought this may be false labor... it took them half an hour to check me, once she did, she was shocked and stated I was 9cm 😂 like girl I told you now I know what to expect. Had him in half an hour after that. I was on the squatting position this time and let me tell you, IT IS THE BEST THING TO DO! Especially going natural with no meds. I will be doing the squatting position with this one as well. I'm 36wks and can not wait to not be pregnant lol..

i went over with my daughter- i was 40&4 when i eventually had her.
but my waters went when i was 40&2 at around 5:30pm- i was only 2cm and over here in the uk they leave you for 24 hours after a cervical examination (because of the risk of infection)
but for 30 hours after my waters went i only had dihydrocodeine (pain relief similar to paracetamol) and on just dihydrocodeine i went from 2cm to 6cm- got up to the labour ward and after 20 minutes i said i felt like i needed to poop& my mum said the babys ready.
i was freaking out because i'd been examined like half an hour before this and was only 6cm so i thought i'd be in for a long wait.
but yeah in the end i got to 10cm and only used gas and air for like maybe 8/9 contractions and then my daughter was born.
for me what hurt the most was the crowning- because i didn't feel my contractions due to the gas and air.
but everyone is different.
this time round i want a water birth😊
