How bad is dilatation check?

I am 37 weeks 4 days and I get checked first time for dilation today! How bad is it? Does it hurt

It's uncomfortable. Not as bad as labor though. You don't have to get checked though. I opted not to (after I was checked once with Braxton hicks - it was a zero and a letdown)

It was uncomfortable,.There was one time tho that a contraction started just as a nurse was checking me... that hurt 😭

Honestly its uncomfortable but not as bad as an Fetal Fibronectin... when they checked me, the pain from my contractions distracted me from them being all up in my lady business

When I was checked with my first it didn't hurt or bother me. slight pressure but nothing major. scrapping membranes. now that was not fun.
