Why am I bleeding?

I've been on the pill for about a year now and I've never had a problem with early periods. Yesterday I had some brown discharge and I just brushed it off but today I have cramps and am spotting. I haven't had unprotected sex....or any sex in general. What's going on?

There are several causes of an early period. It could be stress, changes in your lifestyles, or a hormonal imbalance triggering menorrhagia along with irregular cycles. Although the average cycle is 28 days, it is perfectly normal to have a cycle that is as short as 21 days or as long as 35 days.

I don't know much about birth control pills but I use birth control patches if I stop and take the patch off early I have an early period but if I leave it on then my period is on time it just all depends on the person and the types of birth control you take to be honest with you I don't know if I'm being very helpful but I am only trying to help but it's really normal for a girl to have early periods I don't see anything really wrong with it but then again I could be wrong.
