Has your baby said his/her first word? If so what was it?

My son has been saying mama for a couple of months now, but he says it when he's tired, when he wants milk, when he wants a hug...not necessarily when he wants / needs me (unless he's like a super genius & knows that I provide all those things?! 🤔😂) I always respond directly to him when he says it, so hopefully he starts to associate the word with me. Also trying to teach him dada & ta (0% success rate with those, but I'm 100% sure he said 'wawa' the other day when I was talking about our chihuahua 😂😂😂)

My daughter said "car" first. Now she says mama, dada, baabaa and cat. I have a feeling she's going to be a talker!

my daughter started saying hi and hey at about 3 1/2 months.  Now she's saying momma and dadda and she knows which one is which cuz when I'm around she says momma when daddy gets home it's dadda.

My little boy just started saying "da da" all day long over the past week. He doesn't really use it as a word, but it's a start. It is so cute!

Our son says Dada a lot and he knows who Dada is... he has connected it a few times with saying it to Dada but it's not consistent

My daughter just started saying mama right when she turned 8 months. Idk if she knows I am mama but when she sees me she will start crawling to me saying mama mama mama lol. It makes my heart melt! She kind of says baba too. I am trying to teach her dada but so far nothing.

My baby can say "hi" and "hey" but laughs when I try to teach him "mama". 😅
