Sharp pain

So I've had lightning crotch for several weeks now, but tonight I had some seriously painful stabbing pains down there. I was just laying down watching tv and it got so painful that I almost screamed. I did kinda yell "OW!!" The pain continued happening every few seconds for about a minute. Rolling on my side made it stop. It just felt more intense than any lightning crotch I've had before this. Any ideas on what that was?
