Double hair whorls & delays?!

So I was getting my hair done today and had my hair dresser look at my daughters hair (18 months) because I noticed it was growing in opposite directions. (Most Poole just have one 'hair whorl') welllll she said my daughter has two! & that she doesn't recommend trimming it until it's grown more and has more weight and she'll help us get a good hair style for her hair type.

HOWEVER moments after she told us this, another women getting her hair done said that it's been linked to autism or other delays? This has be slightly freaking out since we just had our daughter see an occupational therapist for a possible sensory processing disorder as well as texture aversion for foods. Has anyone else heard of this?
