Postpartum Sex?! Tmi

So me and my S/O didnt have much sex after i got pregnant due to extra pressure and it being to uncomfortable for me and hurting..but i am 5 weeks PP and we recently started having sex again. once yesterday and once today.😏 anyways both times it felt like "the first time" because it hurt for a minute until he put it fully in. Has anyone experienced this? Could it feel like this because we haven't been doing it as often? Someone please tell me it gets better!😣
