I, personally, don't mind. He just knows that whatever he does, I'll do the exact same. As in, it's perfectly fine to have friends on social media. But if I don't like a certain female or I see she's being way too friendly and you don't do anything about it, I will do it too. I wouldn't go as far as flirting with another man out of the respect of myself and my relationship, but I will make regular friendly talk with a male friend. Then when my SO sees that, obviously he doesnt like it but he has no room to talk since he's doing the same. Then he just stops his shit because he knows he's not any better and the problem usually gets fixed.☺️

I've made it clear in the past to my boyfriend that I'm super insecure especially when he likes and follows other women on social media, but that's my problem and not his. That's something I have to deal with in my own mind, because he doesn't feel the same way I do about my body. 
He can go through the day liking and following all kinds of women (half naked pictures) - but I started doing the same. So if he ever has a problem with me doing it, he'll realise where I was coming from first hand. 
But all in all / it's not a massive problem, because at the end of the day he's with me, he's sleeping with me, he's my partner.
