Do you find that stores put out back-to-school stuff

Way too early? I was at Wal-Mary the other day, and saw back-to-school stuff. It is only mid-July! That seems crazy!!

My son is only 2 1/2 but when he does start school, I personally would like to start early. I feel like the longer you wait, the more difficult it is to find stuff because the supply aisles because ambushed the closer school gets.

Considering I started classes mid-August I needed Walmart to put stuff out in July! Otherwise I'd have been forced to shop at the university bookstore and that's so insanely expensive. Plus, growing up I lived overseas where you can't get a lot of the school stuff you need so my family and I would school shop in June/July when we came back to Canada in the summer. So nope! There's nothing wrong with starting early with school shopping.

Down here in NC a lot of schools are on the year round schedule...they went back a week or 2 ago 😊

They set it out early because different schools have different schedules. Plus, teachers need supplies too. :)

It's July and they start in august that's only a month I don't find that too early,some people like to get stuff done and not wait last minute 😂

Schools by me start mid august and teachers start early august so if ur thinking of the teachers that need to stock up it's really not that early

I like to be able to shop early for them. Also, I know this varies depending on where you live, but school starts back on August 8 for us.

Absolutely not. I started school supply shopping as soon as my son's list was mailed. Waiting til the last minute is just asking to search multiple stores for the littlest items. Also, my son starts school August 8th and I'm scheduled for a Csection August 11th. So, definitely got a head start this year.

It's better to buy supplies earlier as opposed to waiting until the last minute! I've been buying little things here and there since school let out. Either I take 20 each week and buy things that they're going to need for back to school or wait until the week before school starts back and spend a whopping 400 bucks on school supplies, and backpacks in one go. 20-25 a week is less stressful and less burdensome when you're trying to avoid dipping into your savings! Same with back to school clothes. I've been taking about a 100 a week and buying up as many things as I can as far as clothes go. And I'll even buy some things second hand. That's where I find a lot of their jeans and shorts, but I also buy name brand clothing as well that are brand new and I just wash those and put em up until school starts back. I take comfort knowing that I'm not going to have to spend two to three days back to back going shopping for my four kids back to school clothes and I'm not going to have to dip into our savings to do it either. My kids will be fully prepared by the time school starts and atleast I won't be so stressed about it!

I like for my son to have options for what he wants and to not have to pick from what everyone else left behind. Our state does a back to school tax free weekend for school supplies and clothes in July. So I have no problems. He went back to school August 18 last year. Not sure yet what day he goes this year. Waiting for open house. He goes to a private school.
