Progesterone Only BC?

Question

Is anyone taking the progesterone only birth control pills? Good/bad experiences? Any bad side effects?

For me I experienced a very low mood partly because it caused me acne and also irregular but constant spotting 😕 However, my friend is taking it now and she only experiences irregular bleeding

I've been on a PoP for 7 years, and only started having bad side effects this past year when the pharmacy changed the brand. For the first few years, I skipped just about every other month (but I wasn't SA at the time, so I was fine with it), then I got regular after a while. This past year though... I've had more issues with acne than I ever had in high school or college, my periods skip 3 months and then I'll bleed for a month straight, and worst of all, I've had mood swings from hell. I'll be calm and content and then the smallest things will send me into a depressive episode (I did have depression a few years ago, and these episodes are on par with how I felt years ago). After a few hours, I feel better, and normal. I've talked to my doctor recently about getting off of this pill and trying something else, because of all the new studies showing that progestin can trigger issues with depression and anxiety. The brands I've been on were Jolivette, Camila, and now Heather.

I'm taking zelleta, just finished my first month.... been taking it properly for 3 weeks. so far it's been good. No side effects just waiting to see if my period comes on time or not
