Labor?
I'm 41 weeks 3 days today. I had a membrane sweep friday, which caused mild, regular contractions for about 24 hours but they fizzled out. I've been spotting and passing what I think is my mucus plug since then.
I had a more vigorous membrane sweep yesterday afternoon. She said I was soft, and about 3cm dilated.
I woke up this morning around 6:30 to painful contractions (painful enough to wake me up, and make me squirm!) they've been anywhere between 4-12 minutes apart since. They have been mostly painful, but a few of the contractions have been fairly mild in intensity.
Is this typically how labor starts?
I'm scheduled to be induced tonight at 8pm, but according to my doctor, there's a very good chance I will be bumped to a later date (ridiculous if you ask me). I'm very anxious.
Any thoughts? Thanks guys!!
UPDATE: I was in labor and am currently in the hospital waiting for our baby boy to arrive! :)
