Prom/Romance???

Hey ladies! I was just wondering about something. my boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years. he just graduated because he was a senior, but he didn't even ask me to prom. His reasoning was he simply doesn't like parties and doesn't like how much drugs his class did. He will be too old for my prom when it comes around..but he just asks, "can't we spend time with eachother at home with a horror movie and pizza?" I would love that..but I have always dreamt of going to prom. Even if I could get him into mine, I don't think he would go. I don't really want to go when you're not with your boyfriend of (then it'll be 3 years). How should I feel towards this? I am a little upset to see all my friends in my class going with their senior boyfriends, but I don't know. Should I even go? Some people tell me to because it is fun, but I don't know how it'll be without him...
