Sex after stitches?? Tmi?

Im 6 weeks PP and the doc gave the ok to have intercourse. I had 3 stitches after being cut during labor. We tried to have sex last night and i had to stop because it felt like my vagina was going to rip open. Is this normal how long is it going to be tender??

Yea, pain after is normal. Honestly im 7 months pp and sex still hurts more often than not. Just take it slow, use lube if you need to. It gets better eventually

We took it super super slow. After about three months I get normal again and then it got better and better. It's because of the scar tissue that formed. It has to slowly be stretched out. Try to be gentle and give it some time. Be in control so you can feel it.

I tore with my first child. And my scar will sometimes hurt still and that was 4 years ago. Luckily this time around I didn't tear or need stitches. So I'm hoping that it wont be bad this time. I'm one week pp and can already walk normal and everything. Just tender to the touch and sometimes burns when I pee. That's it.

Try making sure to use some lube. That was important for us. It does feel a bit different for me, that's for sure.
