Taking baby swimming???

Question

Liam is 13.5 weeks old. 
Having older kids (13,10 & 10) it's hard to just stay in the whole summer. 
We haven't went swimming as a family yet this summer,  mostly bc I'm pretty nervous about taking baby outside when it's hot,  and nervous about putting him in a pool. Although he does love the water. 
Have you taken baby swimming yet? If so... 
Did you use sunblock? 
And what are some items that made/make it easier?

We have. My parents have a pool so we know there aren't many chemicals in it. We didn't use sunscreen as our pediatrician advised us not to util 6 months, but he gave us the ok for swimming. We put babe in a long sleeve rash guard one piece and hat. We just monitored how long he was in the sun. He really liked it and didn't have any issues.

no sunblock (not until 6 months per our pediatrician), but a hat, rash guard, and swim trunks for my LO. He has a love/hate relationship with swimming 😂 although I think it was mainly because he was ready for a nap when we went to the pool

I have taken my baby swimming lots. We use babyganics sun screen and she's had no issues. We wear a hat too. She LOVES the water.
