I try my best to be a good ally, but I do not consider myself to be a part of the LGBQT+ community. The community is not for or about me. You can support something, but that doesn't automatically make you part of it.

Ehhhh, not exactly. 
Supporting something doesn't make you a person with a marginalized sexual and or gender identity. Just like being pro black doesn't change my racial identity. 
If you're talking about the history of the acronym, it's more complicated. My understanding is that the A for Ally was a way of welcoming supporters into discussions/events, as well as giving a voice to closeted folks in an era that was eve. more dangerous to be out.

I'm 100% an ally. I never ever considered myself part of the LGTBQ community though. I just happen to believe that we all have the right to be who we are without explanation, love who we want, and marry whomever we want to marry.

Again, unpopular opinion but I consider them very much apart of the community. Clearly, not everyone supports human rights and not everyone is a decent human being. I don't feel its right to be like "thank you for supporting our community and being one of the reasons we have rights, but uh... you can't sit with us". Feel free to disagree. I will gladly debate, but I don't think anything would change my mind.

I meant to click no. The LGBT community stands for so much more than just lesbian, gay, bi, etc. it stands for battles we fought and won for basic human rights. Heterosexual people will never experience that.

Absolutely not. They're not LGBT, they don't face what we do, they don't have the experiences, they're important yes, but they are not on the same level and they aren't equal in terms of what we face as a community. I have no issue with them being involved with the community, but to say they ARE LGBT+ when they're well, literally not, isn't right to me 🤷‍♂️
