Can heat induce labor?

Hello ladies!

This week has been one of the hottest this year where I'm from. When I got home from work, my home was 89 degrees. After calling an HVAC specialist out here to determine the problem with our AC, we learned the unit had to be replaced. They won't be able to install the new one until next week, and temperatures will continue to soar into the 90s.

I'm 36w 3d and DYING in here. My question is; can severe heat for an extended period of time induce early labor?
