Cosleeper or pack n play?

Question

I'm a ftm (due Jan 18) and I really want to breastfeed, but I don't want countless trips to another room every night. My bedroom is too small to put the crib in with us, so I was wondering if this pack n play would work just as well for the first few months? I've seen the halo and arms reach cosleepers, and the price is almost like paying for a 2nd crib that the baby can only use for a few months. Any thoughts or suggestions on how I can effectively cosleep without bedsharing?

Definitely go with the pack and play. I remember with my first child I got a bassinet but he outgrew it soo quickly because he was super long and chunky. With my daughter I got the Graco one with the bassinet attachment as well as the changer and bouncer. I breastfed for the first 6 months and she was in our room until that time and we switched her to her crib. Once your baby is sleeping through the night you can still use the pack and play as a travel crib or a place they can play in.

I feel like pack n play you'll get the most bang for your buck. Great for keeping the baby close in those early months and then great for travel in those first few years!

A pack n play is a great idea! it is just like having a bassinet next to your bed. It allows your baby to be close to you but in their own safe environment. Personally I do not feel comfortable co-sleeping but to each their own so we have a Pack n play in our room

We also have a very small room and can barely fit a pack n play but that's what we are using. I like it bc it has he bassinet, changing station, and a place to keep supplies such as diapers, wipes, etc. I've heard good things about the arms reach co-sleeper as well and if you are really worried about room that may be better.. you just have to decide how important the changing station and stuff is. Also the pack
N play has wheels and is easily moveable so I can move it out of the way to get to something else in the bedroom.

I bought the travel size pack and play for my bedroom, not sure if this is that one or the large one. I have a big one in the playroom for changing. The travel size is perfect, and I have another travel bassinet to take on the go.

I can't really say about the co-sleeping because I chose not too but the pack n play comes in very handy for any traveling or visits to people's houses who don't have cribs once they get past the age of sleeping on your chest. We take it everywhere for my one year old.

We bought a pack n play and put it in our room the first two months and she left in that and it worked great cause I could just roll out of bed and grab her. Plus we decided it was worth the money since she could use it longer.
