It finally happened for me! I was exactly 41 weeks on Monday and went into labor. I labored at home for as long as I could before heading to the hospital. I was having only back labor and it was terrible. I tried breathing through it, but couldn't and I got an epidural. I progressed very very quickly after that. Within 4 hours I went from dilated to a 4 to an 8. Soon after I was at a 9 and I let them break my water. At 4:00 am on July 18th I started pushing. This is my second child, but I was having a VBAC. I didn't realize how much work pushing really was. At 5:23 am my sweet VBAC baby was born. Genevieve James weighs 8 lbs 1 oz and is 21 inches long.
