hi... I have scoliosis and my back hurts on the occasion, 4 years ago when I was in 7th grade I went to a hospital and got put in a back brace for about 2 years. for the past few weeks over the summer my back has been hurting so much worse and I don't know what to do. my mom gives me ibuprofen but I don't know if there could be something worse going on than just a backache. my mom's been meaning to make me another appointment at the doctor for my 2-year checkup anyway but I don't know when that might be. my biggest concern is just wondering if my curve has increased and I'm afraid of it increases more I'll have to get surgery and with surgery I'm afraid that I won't be able to dance again or do any kind of physical activity. please I'm just wondering what I should do or if I'm making just a big deal out of nothing.
