So, we have a lot of convos about law enforcement here. Let's talk about this. Thoughts anyone ? How should this be handled? Did this change your perception of law enforcement? How do we know this isn't a common practice ? Anyone else have concerns and questions ?

my viewpoint on law enforcement has always been, there are plenty of good ones sure but...Also. that last line is on point. There's no point in having police officers wear body cameras if they can decide when to turn them on and off. So that they can decide to kill somebody if they wanted to. Plant evidence. Abuse their power in any way. ?

You have to be a special kind of stupid to plant something in front of your body cam.

Im fucking disgusted that cops can turn them in and off. I'm sorry but how is that acceptable? In Minnesota we have an unexplained shooting of a woman in her pjs (she is the one who called the cops thinking someone was being assaulted) Both cops had body cams and neither had them turned on.People- if you dontmake it mandatory they may as well not even have them

My concern is. What if the cop is found guilty for this killing when cops have not been found guilty of others?

Honestly that's the main reason I don't have my carry. I don't want that hassle when dealing with cops. And yes jus. Speaking out doesn't mean that we want cops shot. Hell it doesn't even mean that we agree every single case ofnuse of force is brutality. It just means that there are many instances wheee we know it's not necessary and people are dying

Yes Alyssa whenever I'm stopped the first thing I do is hand the officer my carry permit to show them I'm carrying and it's never a concern for them as they know I have gun on me. However one officer told me if I hadn't let him know I would have been tackled to the ground smdh

That last line is the truth. No cop should be able to turn off the camera.

I just don't understand how the way police conduct themselves differs so greatly internationally.Like American police seem to be hell dodge, yet Australian police are amazing. One policeman has serious head injuries after being struck by a samurai sword 😢

Many of them are hell dogs. It's too many bad apples but the justice system in the US is severely one-sided and it's not on the side of the citizens many times.

This is disgusting but I'm not surprised. That officer will probably get a slap on the wrist because the justice system is to scared to set precedents therefore allowing these things to happen.

Not only is it really wrong and unethical what he did, the other two officers with him knowingly let this happen. It speaks to a culture of crookedness in police forces. (Of corse they're not all bad). Even if the person they were investigating was guilty, now they and all of the other guilty people that these three have ever investigated will have the chance to go free too. How is that helping the community even if they somehow thought in their warped mind that they were doing the right thing?

Cops are liars. Everywhere. All the time. It's part of the job. Lie or protect liars, which makes you no better. what else is new? 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🐷
