do you get pissed off at learner drivers?

Question

In Australia, you have to put L plates up on your car if you're learning, right.

So I'm driving (a manual) with my Aunty, and yeah I stalled a few times, but most people were forgiving. However one man (to the left of me and a few cars back) was pointing and screeching at me, and looked like he was going to get out of his car and come attack me.

If I had my full licence and was being an incompetent driver, I could understand, but I'm literally learning how to drive, so??????

I'm learning too and I had the same issue last week - I braked too sharply at a meeting point to give way, made the guy behind me (who was right up my bum), braked sharply too, I could see him shouting at me through his window waving his arms about going crazy 😂 The instructors car literally has 'RED Driving School' in big red letters and L plates on the front and back, like what does he expect? There was me thinking that, as a driver following a learner driver, you had to keep a safe distance from the that car in front, drive slightly slower than usual and be ready to brake to a stop and expect the learner driver's reactions to be slower than yours? Isn't this all in the theory revision we all did 🙃

Eh. I get mad but I don't show the learning driver. I'll just kinda grunt to myself and make a mental note to get away from the learner. People are dicks. I'll come fight them for you 👀

I get aggravated if they're driving slow, but that's it. The L things a good idea and I wish we had hat in America. When I was learning my dad just had me drive on a straight road and in parking lots

No because they're learning and we were all in that position at one point. 
On a side note, some people just turn into rude monsters when they get behind a wheel so anything gets them angry.

But seriously I sometimes do and I sometimes dont. We have the L thing here and I do give them extra room and try to control my road rage. What does bother me is when they are driving ridiculously slow. When I was being taught my instructor would always make me stick to just below the limit or on it because thats mostly why people get pissy.

I used to get annoyed at learners even when I was still on my L's myself 😂 mostly just for going slow, but like you said, they're learning, I can be forgiving.

I get frustrated when a driver doesn't seem know what they are doing.  We don't have any indication on our vehicles to let people know it's a new driver though.  It would be nice to know! I would be way more understanding if I knew they were a new driver.  I would never yell at someone though, maybe give a little honk and move on...

Only if they've chosen a really stupid place a time to practice e.g. Single lane popular country road on Easter weekend or parallel paddling on a busy road during rush hour.

I don't get mad ever. I'm on my Greens, can get my fulls in Feb and I remember how scary driving was as an L plater! I always just sit behind L platers patiently!

I get frustrated sometimes but I keep my cool and always give them a bit of extra space.  I still grumble under my breath sometimes but I would never beep or swear at them. We all started as learners and I remember how nerve wracking it is.
