Is a 28 year old too old for a 19 year old?

Decided to ask this because I've seen a lot of polls today with 16/22 and 17/24 year olds and the polls/comments shocked me a bit snd I'm curious if it has to do with the fact that the 16 and 17 year olds aren't a legal adult.

There is a big difference between 16 and 18. I met and started dating my (now) fiance when I was 18 and he was 26. I was a legal adult and he wasn't really into the idea of dating someone so much younger but we got to know eachother and our relationship developed. At this point, I had graduated high school, been paying bills, I was working 50 hours a week in a child care center and working towards a degree in early childhood education. I was in a much different place than a teenager in high school is and I was a legal adult who acted more like a young adult than a teenager.

Honestly, if y'all are mature enough there isn't a problem. My dad and my stepmom are 15 years apart and have 2 kids and been together for 10 or 12 years. It just depends on you guys. There was a lot of family disagreement but they proved everyone wrong. If he doesn't act like a stupid little kid and you don't act like a stupid kid either. It's fine. The maturity between the two of you is all the matters.
