So I'm 16 years old and I am very interested in IUD's 
I'm most interested in the copper IUD, but i already have crippling cramps and i rather my period go away which wont happen with the copper IUD.. Its at the top of my list because its non hormonal. 
I don't know the difference between the other three hormonal IUDs. I was hoping that you guys can help me out with which hormonal IUD lasts the longest and has many benefits with the least negative side affects. 
Also, please tell me your experience with you IUD please😊.

I have Skyla! It's hormonal. There are a bunch of hormonal IUDs out there, but truthfully, I only know about Mirena and Skyla. Mirena lasts for five years, and it's a little bit bigger. Skyla (according to my obgyn) is meant for women that haven't had children yet, so it's a bit smaller. Personally, I still have periods with Skyla, but it helps with the terrible cramping and heavy flow I used to experience when I took the pill. I was also a virgin when I got it placed, as I was exploring BC options in the hopes that my period symptoms would get better rather than keep me from getting pregnant, but it's worked pretty well in that regard too. Mirena is supposedly very similar to Skyla, it just lasts two years longer.

I have a copper iud. It's great. I haven't experienced a worsening of cramps or any side effects at all.

I have the copper IUD and love it! It lasts longer than the hormonal ones. As for the cramps, I didn't notice a difference with the IUD. My only caution to it is that some OB/GYN's are reluctant to let women use it unless they've already had children, but that could just be my office's policy or an old rule.

Id say the copper one is better because i had the marina and it was goddamn horrible for me. I had constant pain because it flipped in my uterus and was imbedded. I was always spotting and that was only after 3 months. I felt sick all the time, i had a loss of appetite and was hardly eating so i dropped heaps of weight (i only weigh 45kg as it is). It was just the most horrible thing for me and i'm so glad i got it taken out. Although the Implanon isn't doing me any better.
