How many oz to feed a 4 month old daily?

My baby wants to eat, like, all the time. I'm scrambling to keep his daily amount under 32 oz but it's such a challenge!! He wants a bottle every 2 hours now and wakes up at least once a night for a feeding. We give him 4 oz at a time.

our pediatrician says that at 4 months that should be eating atleast 17 oz a day and no more than 40 oz a day. anything in that range is fine. My 4 month old eats between 17 and 26 everyday.

My son haz 6oz every 3 hours, he doesnt wake in the night so in a day he will have about 28oz-34oz of formula. 😄

5-6oz at a time 6-7 times between 7a and 8p, which is anywhere from 30-40oz. The pedi said its expected for his size to need to eat this much. He samples purees at lunch and dinner but its not like at this age they can count towards his nutrition for the day.

Yesterday he ate 30.25oz and today 22oz.  It differs. 
Have you talked to the pedi.  About starting a little bit of solids?  He could be ready being he's 4 months and eating that much.  Is he sitting,  supported? And able to show you he's full? 
I think the "Max" (recommend Max)  is like 38 or maybe 40oz a day?  I'm not 100% sure I can't remember.  I'd talk to his Dr about when to begin trying some solids.

My son eats 30-40oz a day. His pedi said nothing to us about keeping him under 32oz a day. She did say that its completely normal for him to eat this much as he is a pretty big little dude. And its not like he's fat his weight and height are both in the 90th percentile.

My guy does 5.5 ozs at a time and we will probably start giving 6 in the next few days.  But total amount will be 30ozs at six per bottle because he sleeps through the night and takes five per day.  He is fine with less per bottle but we are bumping it up since he dropped from 98th percentile at birth to 54th at 4 month check-up.  Pediatrician is not worried, she just suggested to give more to make up for what he used to get overnight.  Every baby is different though.

My 4 mo is drinking 4 oz every 2-3 hours as well.. anything more he spits up so I started him on cereal twice a day once in the morning once at night

My 4 month old eats 5 oz every the hours during the day.  Totaling around 35oz for the day.  Pediatrician said that's a good amount. If the baby is hungry,  feed him :)
