how to break this habit?

My 10 month old keeps throwing an anger tantrum. I think it's getting worse. At first she would throw herself on the floor but now she gently goes on the floor and start banging her head.

A few questions, do you know why she's throwing a tantrum? And how are you reacting to them?  10 months seems a little early for control-type behavior.
If she's throwing a tantrum because she didn't get her way, then you need to validate that she's upset, but stick to your guns and don't give in to what she wants.
If you can't figure out why she's throwing tantrums, then I'd talk to your doctor because there might be something going on under the covers.

Do you know why she's doing it? If there appears to be no reason (as in it's not because she didn't get her own way) there could be underlying causes such as autism or a hearing difficulty. 
My friend's son (2 year old) was head banging and throwing tantrums for months and it turned out he had barely any hearing and was getting so frustrated that he couldn't hear or speak so he'd throw tantrums. He got grommets fitted last week and he's a different child!

I don't know if this will help... but I hope it does. Our 19 months old boy, was hitting himself with the wall, he's been sleeping in a full size bed since he was two months old,  he never liked the crib anyway I got tired of seeing bruises every morning, we were trying our best to stop this habit but nothing was working finally  I moved his bed two the middle of the room and problem solved! He also was at his grandparents house every night for a week, our daughter was in the NICU for a week, I feel like that also help. 
Maybe if you remove things that she use to self-harm will help... of course you can't remove the floor but what about a rug? maybe if you guys ignore her, she will understand that she's not getting the attention that she wants.
