What do I do?

Okay so I'm an incoming senior in high school. My whole life I've known I wanted to become a nurse; however, I'm having some trouble getting my degree. I'm a first generation college student with little to no resources. I have literally no idea where to begin or how. . . Basically what I'm asking is to hear your stories on how you became a nurse. What steps did you take in college? What degree did you earn to become an RN? How long? Public or private college? Scholarships for nursing students? What's your job title and how long did it take? Really any little bit of information would help. I'm so stressed out because I have no idea which nursing program to pick.
