Planning sex??

Everytime I'm in the mood for sex, my boyfriend tells me something like "after dinner" or "after shower".. But isn't sex better when it's spontaneous?? I don't want to plan it, I want to do it when I feel like it, not an hour later! I told him multiple times and even said that if it's because he is scared of not being clean/fresh out the shower, I did not car at all. But he keeps saying it's not about that.. I just feel like he does not want me anymore and it hurts like hell.
