Help. I think I'm overreacting

So my boyfriend left on a cruise for 10 days and he suddenly came back and starts telling me I'd look fine af in a belly piercing. Not trying to act like a controlling freak but the man I know never uses that word "fine af" because he would find it disrespectful towards a woman. And he never ever brought up piercings unless I did. Now he either saw a bunch a girls with piercings and now he wants me to get one or he wants me to change. Which is not a problem but I just wonder why he's acting this way suddenly out of the blue .. (no rude comments please I'm just wondering if I'm stupid for even thinking this way)
