I want to become a vegan.

I want to become a vegan, I have not eaten any red meat or seafood in 8 years. But I still eat chicken and turkey. I love chicken parmesan, chicken franchaise, nuggets...

I just can't see how it is possible to only eat vegetables and starches forever until the end of time... that and my love for chicken....

But I do want to become a vegan.

What do I do??

The brand gardein has some really good orange chicken and crispy chicken strips that can help with the cravings. It seems like being vegan there's not much to eat but you'd be surprised how creative you can get with recipes and how tasty they can be! Check out Liv's healthy life on YouTube. She has a really yummy recipe for creamy garlic pasta that I'm obsessed with.

trader joe's has really good chickenless nuggets that (even before i was vegan) you could have told me were chickens and i would have believed you! theres also chickpea chickenless nuggets (recipes on pinterest) that are sooooo good! i hope that helps a little bit! there's basically a vegan substitute for everything, but after going vegan and keeping with it for a while, it's easier to not have to use the substitutes and just eat a whole food vegan diet! i promise it gets easier

I have been a vegan for 7 years, I say go for it. I did it for health reasons but have never regretted my decision. There are loads of faux meats to help you transition, particularly good chicken options. After a while though, you won't miss it, and you will start to crave other foods. You'll feel better and that will be motivation enough to continue. Make sure you get all the vitamins and supplements you need, start generally and then determine what is best based upon your own body. If you have questions, let me know. Good luck and have fun experimenting and trying new foods.

I haven't eaten red meat in...ten years?I was vegetarian for a while in high school and into college a couple years. But then I switched to poultry and fish only. I was basically pescatarian for the last 6 years. Up until about six months ago, I had to make major diet changes for health reasons. No dairy, gluten, corn, refined sugars, cane sugar, or oats. It was pretty difficult to get used to. But once I found my staple food items and my go to meals and snacks, it became enjoyable. Lately I've been rethinking the whole meat thing again just for my health and the environment. So I'm thinking I'll honestly go vegan too. It won't be too difficult of a transition for me at this point. Honestly, there are a lot more options than you think than just fruits and veggies and starches. You just gotta get creative. It'll be easier for you than me since you probably eat gluten and corn and oats. Most vegan substitutes for meat are pure gluten or soy products. My advice to you is to be wary of your sugar and fat consumption, as well at soy and gluten. There are many options out there that maybe be vegan, but aren't healthy or plant based whatsoever. And many of those products will harm your body more if eaten regularly, than benefit your body. And of course if you're switching to vegan, it's to benefit yourself. My biggest helpful hints for creative food options is pinterest of course, and then adding health gurus on instagram. I've added a couple and it's helped give me a lot of great ideas. It's almost adventurous and fun to try those new places to eat.

I think if you start slow it'll get easier as time goes on. Consistency and support is helpful. A bunch of people in one of my friend circles are going vegan, and even though it's not my thing it motivates me to eat better and be more conscious of decisions when I go out to eat with them.

maybe should start becoming a vegetarian or pescitarian first and then ease your way up to a vegan. I'm a vegetarian, So I still eat dairy and products that basically come from an animal, like honey. Or become a pescitarian so your dupe for chicken can be crab or salmon..
