Firstly, sex is unbearable! It feels like a sharp pain in my cervix / uterus throughout sexual intercourse. At first I thought maybe I had an infection so was tested for bacterial and sexual infections and all returned negative. I've read that sex can be uncomfortable after the insertion but I'm unsure whether after 3 months I should still be suffering? Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't particularly want to remove it as other forms of birth control (I have tried a variety of pills) are not compatible with me.

I live in Hong Kong and they don't seem to provide a number of alternative birth control options as a service. I have a long term boyfriend so do need the protection on a regular basis. Any suggestions?
