I'm currently in a long distance relationship, I live in California and my man lives in Germany. We are both very mature and trust each other very much! The distance is difficult sometimes, but if you have an independent life and lots of friends it definitely will help. We are seeing each other in October, so excited!

I've been in 2 serious long distance relationships and I've loved both of them!! I feel like I can get to know my SO on a more emotional level than if he was here. It is hard at times but I will never regret them because I have gotten closer to the other person in the long distance relationships than all of my relationships combined where I lived in the same city/town as my SO.

I'm not even that far from my SO and it sucks I couldn't imagine being further. We went from living literally on top of each other in a tiny dorm to being 40 miles away and it's hell.

It only works with this guy, who I've been with for almost 5 years. In the beginning it was hard to get used to being alone for months, but somehow we always held on to each other. I think you'll do it when you know it's for the right one.

I was in a couple of them.  They never worked out because I met someone else each time.  You have to be super committed - like marriage/engaged committed for it to work out.  Maybe invest in an airline discount club to have frequent visits?  Spirit has a $9.00 Fare Club.
