Are you letting your 6-month olds pinch, scratch, pull and punch you?

I love my girl with all my heart but my goodness she can scratch and pinch the crap out of my face, neck and chest, especially when nursing. It seems like it's normal at this stage, and my babe just doesn't get it when I try to show her that she shouldn't do that...
I wonder if there are any other moms out there clipping their babes' nails every single day and still walking around looking like they have attacked by a wild cat!:)

I just say "No scratching(or hitting or hair pulling). That hurts." And move on. I usually have to say it a BUNCH of times throughout the day. They dont know what theyre doing, but theyll never know if theyre not taught.

My son has been doing this for a long time. I keep his nails trimmed and filed as best I can. I pretty much file them every other day and cut once a week. He's obsessed with my lips and loves to grab them when he's nursing, and sometimes he scratches at my breast. I let him do it for a little them I'll either put my finger in his hand to hold or play bite at his hand. As long as his nails are trimmed it doesn't bother me- when I miss a nail I always find out lol!

Ugh. My son pinches the back of my arms and it hurts so bad ha. He seems to only do it to me though 🤔 And when I say "Ouch that hurts" or "No pinching Mama" he like laughs and thinks it's funny. I'm just going to keep pulling away and making it seem like it really hurts and hopefully he'll get the picture soon. He's also starting to hit me when I cut his nails! 😩

yes, I love it and it reminds me to really keep up with the nail trimming. when she starts pinching too hard though I tell her "ouch! you're hurting mommy" (but that only makes her laugh) we practice gentle touches with our dog. she'll grab hold of his fur but doesn't pull too much. trying to teach her to stroke him instead of grab 😏

So funny! My son was pinching me as I saw this topic. He's been very pinchy lately and he smiles if I say "ouch." 😳 I let him do it to a degree. He likes my nose and lips so I let him explore for a minute.
