How pregnant were you when you told your employer?

I'm only 6 weeks pregnant but I'm a police officer so had to tell my work I'm pregnant. Wanted to keep it a secret longer but I'm faced with some bad situations in work that would risk baby so had to tell. Would have loved to have waited until my 12 week scan but now I'm restricted to an office for the next 8 months. Fun times for me!

6wks and 4 days.  I'm nurse so I had to let my job know because I don't want to do any lifting.

7weeks 2days. had to go on maternity leave right then in there because I worked at a vet clinic and can't lift over 20lbs and couldn't clean litter boxes...

I had to tell my boss at 5 weeks due to high risk and needing a lot of appointments at the beginning. I only told her though and then I waited to tell my coworkers until 12 weeks

So literally only she and our families knew lol.  If it's necessary to keep you and your baby safe then you kinda have to spill the beans.
