Did the implant work for you?

Question

Id like to know your side affects and which one you got the Implanon or the Nexplanon.
Did you get pregnant? 
How long have you had it?
How many have you had?
Would you recommend it? 
I'm very forgetful so I can't take the pill, Condoms aren't exactly the best method for someone who doesn't want kids for a while, I liked the shot but id love a more permanent fix. 
Anything is welcome 
I'm a nympho (one man) so no sex is definitely not an option. 
Yes im currently pregnant, this is something i want to think long and hard about before I get.

I’ve had nexplanon for a year now and it works wonders. I got it the day after my period ended so I haven’t had any of the side effects. And I haven’t gotten my period since. Only recently I’ve been very lightly spotting but it doesn’t get in the way of anything.

I had nexplanon for almost two years, was married so we had a lot of sex. Like.. A LLOOOTTT. Never protected besides the BC. Never had a pregnancy scare once, and only side effect I had from it was it would occasionally shift funny in my arm while weight lifting! But that was it! It took me 8 months after removal to get pregnant but that was without trying! I plan on getting it again!

I've had mine for almost 4 years and no pregnancy. With my hubby in the army and gone for training for weeks at a time there's a LOT of unprotected sex when he is home. If I get a period it's just spotting. It works for me because I was terrible at remembering the pill and because of unrelated health issues my doctor advised against the shot.

So far I've only had the Nexplanon implant for 2 months and I mean, I haven't gotten pregnant as of yet so I'd say it works haha.
However, if you're not willing to deal with out of whack periods and constant spotting, then don't get it. I got the implant on my second day of my period, had abnormal period then didn't bleed until my next period a month later, then that period was 15 days long. And I've been spotting every day for the past month since that period. I'm hoping it'll stop within the next few months but it's definitely an annoying side effect to deal with.
