This is my First Time experiencing spotting instead of a full Period! Worried that I may be pregnant 😩

So my period was due last weekend according to eve, but I'm always late and irregular, so I have no worries. Yes, I'm sexually active with Bae and I had a poor experience with medicinal BC, so I don't use any other form of BC, just condoms when we use them. According to eve, about 3-4 days late, I begin to spot the brown blood (the type when your period is over), I'm concerned because 1) I never spot and 2) it's the brown stuff as if my period is over. We had sex yesterday morning and I finally saw fresh blood, so I was relieved, but it didn't continue throughout the day. Even my discharge has taken on the brownish color.  I haven't had any cramping until this morning and still nothing. Are these signs of pregnancy? Is this normal? Anyone else experience this? Any advice other than take a pregnancy test, I'll be doing that today!
