Moving to crib! Any advice??

Question

Right now our 4 month old son is sleeping in the pack n play in our bedroom, where he has slept since birth. We want to transition him to his crib in his own room because I think he'll sleep better but I'm so hesitant to do it because I know I'll worry! He just started rolling from his back to belly and it scares me when I wake up and see him on his belly. Currently he fights going to sleep because he's so concerned about everything going on around him. So I have to bounce/ rock him/ hold him until he falls asleep. And sometimes he wakes up less than an hour after I lay him down. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am a first time Mom!! 😁

my girl was starting to sleep terribly in our room so we transitioned her into her crib in her room a couple weeks ago. it has really helped! I would say to start gradually, maybe by starting his with naps in the crib. see how he does with that first! get a video monitor so you can feel more comfortable with him away from you... and make sure there is nothing else in the crib. good luck!! :)

I moved LO to their own room/crib by first moving the bassinet into his room for a few nights, then moving the little pad from the bassinet into the crib for a few nights, then finally just in his crib. it worked pretty well for us. he was a little over 3 months at the time, he got too long for his bassinet and woke him self up multiple times thru the night. we both sleep much better with him in his crib. It doesnt wake him up when I get up to shower before work and he can continue to sleep or an hour or so.

We transitioned our LO at about 3.5 months and right through a pretty rough 4 month sleep regression. Tried to knock it all out at once:) it took some patience. When babe wakes up, I stay in the her bedroom and just pat her back until she falls back to sleep. Before offering anything( boob, paci). When I lay her back down I keep my hand under her little butt until I know she's completely out. We also keep a color changing night light and air purifier( for noise) in the room.  We are working to stay consistent. It's not perfect. She's sleeping 5 hours straight. Then waking up once more.   A pretty good improvement from a couple short weeks ago.(Sorry so long... hopefully something helpful:)

For the past 2 months or so we've been having our baby sleep half the night in her crib. So we put her down around 630 in her crib and wake her around 11/1130 to feed and then she sleeps the rest of the night in our room. It's recommended that they sleep in your room at least 6 months. But you have to do what's right for you

I put my baby in her crib in her own room at about 3.5 months.  She loved the space and rolls all around . If they roll on their bellies they will not suffocate . Just keep sheet tight and nothing else in crib . Anyways my daughter sleeps great and loves her crib . I say go for it !
