Dyeing your hair while pregnant?

Okay soo, how do you guys feel about dyeing your hair while pregnant? I've considered doing it after my first trimester obviously but i'm still skeptical about it 😶 i'm 11 weeks, second trimester around the corner & really need to dye my hair, it's different colors everywhere lol. My mom said she dyed her hair but made my uncle dye it for her outside so that the smell wouldn't get to her. Has anyone done it & baby's fine? Or should i just wait? 😒

I haven't heard anything that suggests it harms your baby. My hair stylist just had a perfectly healthy baby and she works with hair dye all day every day.

Looks at my so fresh and so clean  roots 👩🏼, its perfectly safe. Its an old wives tale,  the older  chemicals in colors had sidw effects,  but things evolve...... you know they used to have Lead in house  paint,  Do we still paint our  houses? yes since things have changed.

as a hairstylist, they taught me and beauty school that as long as you're in a ventilated area it's not a problem. And then when I got pregnant I made sure that this was accurate being as I was going to be around hair color and bleach and perm solution all day everyday. My OB confirmed. People say to wait after your first trimester but it really doesn't matter. It's not going to hurt you. If you're still having morning sickness it might make you feel a little nauseous LOL but other than that it's not going to hurt you or the baby.
also be aware that your hormones might affect the hair color. It might not stay very well, it might not take the color, and it might be a little off of the color. I've never actually seen this happen since I've done hair but it's possible and just be aware of it

Yes, it's fine, just avoid coloring with ammonia and make sure it's a well ventilated area. I've colored my hair 3 times so far (every 6-8 weeks cuz deez roots). I have 2 appointments scheduled for the remainder of my pregnancy too... that's assuming my baby lets me go to the last one 😬😬
Really, just do what you feel comfortable doing.

Talk to your OB. Although I hear if you're ventilated, it's okay. When you're pregnant, your hair is going to dye differently though.

I personally waited until my second trimester, just because the baby's quiet a bit stronger and I'm just not a risk taker when it comes to my pregnancy.  You would likely be fine, that's just me and what I was comfortable with.  You're almost to your 12th week which is a huge milestone I would maybe wait until then... but that's just me 🙂
