Are you kidding me!?

Question

How pissed am I allowed to be?
Yesterday I got an iud put in. All day I was having bad pain but it really got worse around 10 pm. I can't lay down because the pain is so bad. I'm light headed and can't walk. I had to wake my husband up to feed our daughter because I couldn't. He gets back in bed but by this point my pain is so bad I'm crying and calling out for him. He keeps asking me what to do and I tell him idk just help me. He gets pissed that Im not telling him what to do so he gets up, turns off the light, walks out, slams the door leaving me alone. Some time passes and I can't take the pain anymore that I need to go to the hospital so I pull up our security cameras to see where he is. He's asleep on the couch with our daughter! He left me alone crying in pain to go back asleep. So I then had to call an ambulance myself (poor operator could barely understand me). Finds out my iud is causing internal bleeding and I need surgery. I had to call him 3x to wake him up to tell him I need surgery.
I'm so hurt, disappointed, and pissed off.

I think sometimes men feel more frustrated than women when there's nothing to they can do. He kept asking what he could do and you kept saying idk. He felt beyond helpless. Cut him some slack!

To be fair... he did ask what he could do.... also he was asleep on the couch with your daughter.... not just asleep alone.... I understand the situation was serious, but I'd give him the benefit of doubt on this one. He offered help, you weren't specific so he took on the child... that's help. Granite why he didn't wake up with an ambulance at the house would worry me more lol. 
On a side note. I pray your surgery goes well and that you recover quickly.

I'd be so pissed. You were obviously in tremendous pain and he couldn't care less! He could have at least called you an ambulance if he couldn't drive but you have the right to be as mad as you need

I'm sorry hun, that's mean of him. I've seen some men be empathetic towards their SO's during labor and after birth, so it's not all men who are jerks.

you're allowed to be upset but i would suggest cutting him some slack. he was trying and asked you if he could help, i understand you were in pain and that sometimes makes it difficult to communicate what you want. but something you just have to breath and let things go! i don't think he left you alone because he didn't care, i think men in general just get frustrated when they want to help but can't. maybe explain to him how you feel but DONT say "you should have" or "you did this." in relationships sometimes it's best to forgive and forget. say "i feel" statements and be loving. no man is perfect!

You are very allowed to be more than pissed at him.. how can he sleep knowing you are in severe pain, crying and closes the door and just leaves you.. I never got into any married peoples problems here but yours made me a complete stranger heart broken over you.. Im Sorry you had to go thru all that and i hope you a healthy Recovery.. My fiancé is the same. When he asks what he should do and I don't know he gets frustrated but can you blame him? Still yet, he should've been a little more helpful especially since you had to go to the hospital.
