Boy or Girl?

Im 8 wks and 2 days. I went to my first dr appointment and everything went great! My baby heartbeat is 177. I told my bestfriend and she says Im having a girl. I asked her why she says that and she says bc girls have higher heartbeats. Can someone let me know if this is true or not?

That's just an old wives tale. One of my boys was always one higher side

My babies heartbeat around that time was 170, and I'm having a boy

It seems to be true for most people. Boys tend to be in near 140.
