Screen time?

Question

How much screen time do you allow your little one? 
I've been avoiding it, but when evening rolls around my LO gets really cranky. The only way I can cook tea without a meltdown is to pop her in her high chair and plant her in front of the TV.

Daddy is a pilot and not often home. Its almost like being a single stay at home parent. In my case if I want dinner or food a little screen time is needed. I usually put it on for 30 mins while I'm making dinner. If not it would be hours till I could eat and no one wants a Hangry Mama.

My LO watches bubble guppies while she eats breakfast, other than that she doesn't pay much attention to the tv.

we do 0 screen time. & it's a struggle lol. I just think that, for me personally, if i did it 'occasionally', it would encourage him to demand it. He's at the point now that he 'asks' for things (by ask, i mean he points & makes noises).

I've always had the tv on all day long and neither of my kids care to watch it. When my 6 year old was a baby she would watch a few min here and there but was too busy running around and playing to really care, my 1 yr old doesn't even acknowledge the tv is on ever, he's way too busy! I would say on a rainy day or during the winter my kids maybe have an hour of screen time a day.

im guilty. ever since he turned one ive been putting my kindle on the stroller or the high chair ( only when hes not letting me cook or clean). its hard. especially if no one is around to help me out :(

If we're home the tv is in 90% if the time. That said she rarely pays attention to it unless its a kids show (Daniel tiger, shimmer and shine, Sofia the first, ect) but even then she doesnt actually sit and watch a full episode  i f it's something else (news, hgtv, ect) she has no interest and proceeds to drag all her toys out and play

Never. We only have one tv in the whole house and we don't turn it on until both kiddos are asleep around 8pm.

I usually have it on in the background but she doesn't pay attention. She's more interested in her toys. I do let her watch one episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse though, she usually only makes it through the intro music and 5-10 minutes before she loses interest.

I usually have it on, but my baby doesn't watch it. We'll play together and occasionally she'll glance at it, but that's it. She's more entertained with her toys and silly momma. However I do let her watch only one episode of Elena of Avalor a day. That show she does truly enjoy and watch, so I limit it to 1 time a day. It's about 25 minutes long! Last night she did watch a good amount of Game of Thrones though. Terrible momma! 🤣 Sorry not sorry.

I put it on in the evening after bath time, when I need to put him in his pack and play to keep him confined to one area. I use that time to cook or clean and when I look at him, he is usually playing with his toys. He only gets up and really gets into it when a song comes on the shows, otherwise it's really just background noise. It's about an hour of this a day and he sees the tv constantly but has never pointed and asked for it, so I don't think I have created a junkie (yet).
