I spent a lot of time researching vitex as well and the best way to take it. It seems to help a lot of girls but it didn't work for me. Been on it for 5 months and only have had one period. I got my period within five days of taking 3 pills (400mg) a day. Was hoping it continued to keep me regular but it didn't. I did have pretty bad headaches and foggyness for the first week but push through and it stops.

Yes. It's not a vitamin though and can mess your cycle up badly if not taken correct. 
Work your way up to taking 3 a day. Do 1 week 1 pill, 2 weeks 2pills, 3 weeks 3 pills and that's max dose. You can take it up to 9 months then you have to wean off just like when you started. 
One side effect I noticed is a headache until your body adjusts. It was more annoying then anything. 
If you do get pregnant on it, don't stop taking it. You have to wean off or it can cause a MC from a drop in your hormones. You should see your best cycle after taking it for 2 months.
