Kind of annoyed with my MIL over who my daughter resembles *rant*

So I had a beautiful baby girl 4 months ago and when I first had her, she didn't really resemble me at all! I'm black and 1/4 Filipino, her dad is 1/2 Spanish 1/2 black.. he has very fair skin and hazel/green eyes (fine AF). We both thought that our girl would have a darker complexion and look more "black", I guess... but she doesn't and that's COMPLETELY fine, bc she is PERFECT! She is fair skin with grey eyes that have stayed, so I'm thinking she will have her dads eyes.. but now that she's getting older, she has MY facial features.

I have a 3 yo step daughter who looks just like my fiancé. So my MIL is always saying shit like, "my son makes beautiful babies! He did so well! Nova (my daughter) looks just like Carter (step daughter)!"

Before I would always show her pictures of me as a baby and she would dramatically tell me how she looks nothing like me... the way she would go about it annoyed me, but now my daughter looks just like a lighter version of me. I swear she doesn't want my baby to look anything like me. Whenever someone says it on Facebook pictures, she hops on (jokingly) saying we aren't "twins" and we don't look alike.. I mean the woman goes completely out of her way!!!

I went to visit family today and my big brother was just in awe over how much my daughter looks like me as a baby (my brother is 11 years older). We went through more old pictures and I found one that was spot on! Now I see my daughter make the same facial expression constantly! Even though her picture I put here to compare isn't the face I always see, I think we look similar. What do y'all think?

Shit, I'm actually flattered that I was beautiful like this little baby I was blessed with! What did I do to deserve her??!! 😭😭😭
