Do dogs feel human emotions?

Do dogs feel jealousy? We downsized to a queen bed and Reesie does not fit (he's a bed hog) so we bought him his own orthopedic dog bed. Will he be jealous that Trixie is in the bed with us? I might cry. 😥 I don't want him to think he's done something wrong. She is the small one and he is the big one.

No. Just train the dog to know the bed is a safe space. Put its toys on the bed. Give him a treat when he's on it. Idk show him/her that that's there's and there safe space I guess

I wouldn't say jealousy so much as possessiveness. My mom had a foal who she raised and dedicated her time to until he passed away a few years ago, and that horse was fucking possessive as all hell. Would go so far as to attack any horse she was riding if she wasn't on him, and if she took a baby out to see him he'd skulk until the baby was put away. 
But that's not necessarily because he cares the same way a human does, it's because she's his herd member. That's his thing. With a child I'd recommend nipping any possessive behavior in the bud and reinforcing what is the dog's and what's not. 
 The same behavior is seen between herd members or pack members. I personally think it's easy for us to think that some animals are on the same level as us, but I think that may be because we like to apply humanity to our companions (not talking about whales or dolphins or elephants).

yea, especially jealousy with other dogs or younger children. if you still want him to sleep on the bed you can buy or ask someone to make  him a special dog bed, it can be freestanding or attach to the side of a normal bed and has optional steps depending on the age, it creates space for the dog for people who don't want them on the covers but want them near, for those who don't have space, or for dogs that are older or have joint problems. I think I have a picture somewhere if you need it. that pics gorgeous!

My german shepherd slept on a dog bed in my room while my chihuahua mix slept in bed with me. She was completely happy with it as long as she could be around us❤️

He he will feel jealous my dog is always jealous that my cat fits but sometimes we just let her up & make it work
